Headline impact · Art-Basel-isolated

CHF 412.0M

Total Basel fair-week spend, isolated from Baselworld and Swissbau. CHF 58.9M/day across six days.

Art-Basel-only isolation. Captures only Tuesday–Sunday of fair week. Excludes Baselworld and Swissbau (which BAK Economics bundles into a single MCH Group number). Built from anonymous capture flow + hotel occupancy + restaurant POS partner data + retail card-spend partner data + civic-tax shoulder data, all k≥50 anonymized. Excludes capital goods (booth construction). Numbers are seeded; methodology is the deliverable.

What this replaces

"The BAK Economics MCH Group report bundles Art Basel revenue with Baselworld and Swissbau. No isolated number exists publicly."

— BAK Economics, Wirtschaftliche Bedeutung MCH Group (2023). Troviii's civic layer isolates the Art Basel number for the first time.

    Methodology + k-anonymization + partner data sources

Methodology

All counts k≥50 anonymized. No PII captured or rendered. Merchant attribution requires either (a) merchant POS partner integration, (b) merchant opt-in to be named, or (c) k≥50 aggregate without naming. Year-over-year baselines built from Troviii's prior-edition saved data plus public BAK + Hotelverein figures. Federal visibility from public press monitor.

Pause / re-approach / capture-share is the same k≥50-floor anonymization used for gallery dashboards. Merchant attribution requires either merchant opt-in to be named, POS partner integration, or k≥50 aggregate without naming.
