Salon · in partnership with Swissnex

Invisible Infrastructure.

A salon on the hidden systems that sustain life — and what it costs when we fail to design them well.

Many of the systems that actually shape how we live are not the official ones. Care work, peer-to-peer guidance, trusted networks, the labor of navigating institutions that were never designed with you in mind. The same logic applies to ecological systems: the natural infrastructure that sustains life has been externalized, undervalued, designed around — until it fails.

This evening, the room itself is the intelligence engine. Sixty people, five angles, three prompts. By the end you'll see — visibly — what the room knows that no one in it knew alone.

The five angles · the lenses we will look through
Economy
What is paid for invisibly.
Design
Systems not made for you.
Solarpunk
Future already underway.
Policy
What policy must count.
Bodies
Where the body lives in the work.

A three-part salon.

01
~10 min
Setting the stakes

A short framing on invisible infrastructure — what it is, why now, why this room.

02
~30 min
The room as engine

Speakers respond to three prompts. The audience submits in real time. The screens all over the room map insights as they land. The room watches its own intelligence form.

03
~45 min
Reflection & curated networking

The strongest patterns are reflected back. Attendees open their phones to see their three named introductions, with a specific collaboration prompt for each. A synthesis memo follows the next morning.
